This is great for those times I get a little too download happy at The Guttenburg project and forgotten what some of the books were about.Calibre is also great for adding PDFs and other documents to the kindle. I love the feature that finds and adds publication details and summaries to the side panel. All I have to do is select all of the books I want to add then click 'Add to device' and it's done in seconds. Not only does it convert files to other formats but it also manages my Kindle while it manages my ridiculously large e-library. I mucked around with a couple of other file conversion programs before I disovered Calibre. When I bought my kindle I was disappointed to discover that all of the ebooks I had bought from elsewhere for my android tablet were not going to transfer easily.
